📱 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open the Gmail App
If you don’t have Gmail, open the Mail app you normally use.
- Tap Gmail to open it
- Tap your profile picture (top right)
- Tap “Add another account”
2. Choose Account Type
- Tap “Other” (NOT Google, Outlook, etc.)
3. Enter Your Email
- Type your full email address
- (example:
[email protected]
) - Tap Next
4. Choose Account Type
- Select Personal (IMAP)
- (This lets you sync your email on multiple devices)
5. Enter Your Password
- Type the password you were given
- Tap Next
6. Incoming Server Settings
- Username: your full email (again)
- Password: your email password
- Server:
mail.privateemail.com
- Port:
993
- Security Type: SSL/TLS
Tap Next
7. Outgoing Server Settings
- SMTP Server:
mail.privateemail.com
- Port:
465
- Security Type: SSL/TLS
- Require sign-in: âś… Yes
- Username: your full email
- Password: your email password
Tap Next
8. Account Options
- Choose how often to sync email (default is fine)
- Turn notifications on if you want
Tap Next
9. Give Your Account a Name (Optional)
- You can name it “Work Email” or leave it as-is
- Tap Next and you're done âś…

You should now see your Namecheap email in the Gmail app.
If anything doesn’t work, double-check:
- Your email address and password
- That the server settings are typed exactly right
